Redesigning the Discover Network website was a massive undertaking. It was the epitome of "multidisciplinary design approach". Talk about having to swap hats throughout the process — sometimes I had to wear two or three at the same time in order to keep the ball rolling.
The design was driven by content strategy, brand reinforcement, and user research. It became abundntly clear that simplicity and a clear, coherent narrative was the best approach. Intuitive navigation, macro white space, a limited color palette, and a tasteful infusion of visual elements (photography, iconography, data visualization) all work well together to establish an effortless delivery of the content.
